Joe Thomas’ TOP 10: Tweets of 2017

The man, the myth, the legend… of twitter.

CLEVELAND, OH (TM216) — For one glorious moment, lets forget the Quarterback competitions, forget the neck and neck race for Punter and realize…. Joe Thomas is in a race with himself for greatest social media influencer in Cleveland sports.

While we do get hyped in the weight room dancing with Lebron, and take in relationship goals from Joe Haden, it is Joe Thomas that seems to prove day in and day out the Hall of Fame level of twitter royalty that is his twitter account.

Without any further ado… we give you, the Top 10 Joe Thomas tweets…for 2017.

10.) The knork. We’re not sure where this invention came from, but we are proud to say that Joe is putting it on the map.

9.) It is not often that professional football players invite the level of interaction with fans that we get to enjoy with Mr. Thomas. Caption contest have become a frequent occurrence in Joe’s Twittersphere.

8.) The pranks. Rookies… veterans… fans… coaches.. beware. We have a hall of famer with a sense of humor in the locker room!

7.) Joe appreciates a good Harry Potter pun. Which house would Joe be in? Almost certainly Gryfindor.

6.) Joe is not afraid to take on the man… in this case, the man that has not made flat bottom water bottles. A struggle I think we can all relate to.

5.) Yes. No one is safe from the practical jokes.

4.) Lest we never forget.

3.) Cleveland has been ALL IN for the NBA Finals for the past three seasons, even with twitter glory, Joe will never get a big head.

People: St. Ignatius Football Preview 17′

Wildcats eye redemption following 2016 state runner-up finish.

CLEVELAND, OH (TM216) — It’s been said that nothing motivates victory as much as loss. If that holds true, St. Ignatius is poised for a historic season following a double overtime loss in last season’s state championship game.

It’s one more go for the senior class of 2017. As Mark Bobinski enters the season of dreams he has had no shortage of success already written on the historic Wildcats legacy. At just 5’9″ Bibinski wracked up a total of 1,157 yards in his junior season, accounting for 20 rushing touchdowns.

That thousand yard rusher will serve as captain along side the anchor of his offensive line, Darian Kinnard. Another highly recruited talent for both his size (6’6″ 315 lbs) and skill. Ranked as a 4-star recruit, Kinnard has already received 17 Division 1 scholarship offers leading to his commitment to the University of Kentucky.

In the secondary, Ignatius returns another D1 commit in Justin Sands. An Ivey League student athlete that recently committed to Pennsylvania University, Sands will be joined by Cam Toppin, Matt Viancourt and Connor Kennedy in the secondary. Leaving the Wildcats with one of the most highly recruited defenses in the state.

Week one offers a rare opportunity for the Wildcats, the chance to defeat a team that they currently hold zero wins over, Archbishop Hoban. The Knights lead the series (1-0).

Overall, it is a typical all star level schedule for Ignatius. Three state champion finalists are scheduled including the Knights, St. Xavier Bombers, and Detroit Central Catholic Shamrocks.

The 2017 season opens up Thursday, August 24, at Archbishop Hoban.
